THE CUT CLASS DESCRIPTION AND RULES
Class is primarily designed for the Amateur rider to practice their cow driving and cutting skills.

The object of the class is to make 2-3 cuts out of a herd of cattle settled on the back fence. Cut your cows in a smooth and appealing way and driven to the center of a pre-drawn target in the sand and earn a high score. Credit awarded to riders who select and drive up a cow from the outside of the herd, but at least ONE deep cut, pre NCHA judging criteria, must be made.

Slow is Fast and Quality of the cut over quantity can't be overstated. Enter this class for fun, prizes and practice. 

Any Non-professonal or Amateur rider may enter this class. 

Specific Show Rules
  • Class size limited to 30 riders (pre-registered through this website) 
  • The class will be drawn and posted by noon, the Friday before the show
  • If the class has any open slots, contestants may register on site; however, they will be placed at the first available slot after the last pre-entered draw. 
  • Riders may show up 2 horses
  • Up to 3 cows per rider
  • 90 Second clock
