MEET COACH SHANNON PIGOTT

Open level competitor Shannon Pigott specializes in teaching and coaching non-pro riders in Versatility Ranch Horse and Reined Cow Horse events out her facility in Fredericksburg, Texas. Best known as "Coach" to her clients, Shannon grew up riding horses but also enjoyed a professional career owning and managing veterinary hospitals. In 2013, Shannon dove back into horses with an unsatiable thirst for knowledge, riding skills, competitor prowess and a gift for coaching others.
Shannon has been trained and mentored by exceptional riders. Clinton Anderson, master clinician and equine educator, trained Shannon in horsemanship, young horse training and foundational training. As a Certified Clinician, Shannon teaches riders how to understand horses, develop their talent and advance their horsemanship. Two-time National Cutting Horse Association Open Futurity Champion Kathy Daughn mentored Shannon for several years until Shannon launched her own training business that focuses on versatility ranch horse competitors. In addition to clinics, coaching and lessons, Shannon developed and manages My Cow Horse Coach, a virtual coaching platform for horse enthusiasts and riders in versatility ranch horse events.
The avid horsewoman and savvy businesswoman launched her own app platform in 2022, ShowTeamer.US, where members can join a community of riders that seek to improve horsemanship and competitive skills in the versatility and cow horse events while connecting with their horse and others, and having fun. Coach Shannon competes in American Quarter Horse Association ranch versatility, the National Reined Cow Horse Association and in the Stock Horse of Texas, where she also serves as a board member. She lives and trains out of her Sundance Ranch in Fredericksburg, Texas.
